2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift Vs Rivals: Price War Heats Up! Which Car Is Most Affordable?

Maruti Suzuki recently launched one of the most anticipated fourth-generation Swift in the Indian Market. Offered in five variants, the Maruti Suzuki Swift comes with a price tag starting from Rs 6.49 lakh onwards (ex-showroom) for the base LXi model and Rs 9,64,500 (ex-showroom) for the top-end ZXi trim with dual-tone colour option. Buyers will have to spend around Rs 25000 extra for the base model, while the top-spec trim will cost you Rs 50,000 more expensive than the previous Swift.

In this price bracket, the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift locks its horns with the likes of Hyundai i20, Citroen C3, Mahindra XUV 3XO and Fronx. Its direct rivals are the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS and the Tata Tiago. Here is the comparison to find out how the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Siwft stacks up against its rivals and other models in terms of prices.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift vs Direct Rivals: Price Comparison

Tata Tiago is offered in ten variants with the price of the base XE model starting from Rs 5.65 lakh (ex-showroom) and the top-spec XZ NRG trim costing Rs 7.30 lakh (ex-showroom). This price range makes the Tiago around Rs 1 lakh more affordable than the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Fronx. Notably, the new Swift is not available in CNG trim.

Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS, on the other hand, is offered in 11 variants with prices for the base spec Era trim starting from Rs 5.92 lakh (ex-showroom) and the top-spec Asta with automatic gearbox option costing Rs 8,56,300 (ex-showroom). This makes the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS around Rs 1 lakh more affordable than the new Maruti Suzuki Swift.

2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift vs Other Price Rivals

The Mahindra XUV 3XO is one of the price rivals of the new Maruti Suzuki Swift and the sub-compact SUV is available at a starting price of Rs 7.49 lakh (ex-showroom). This matches the price of the mid-spec Swift VX(O) model which costs Rs 7.56 lakh (ex-showroom) for the MT trim, while the automatic variant is priced at Rs 8.07 lakh (ex-showroom). 

Another price rival of the new-gen Maruti Suzuki Swift is the Citroen C3 which carries a sticker price starting from Rs 6.16 lakh which goes up to Rs 9.08 lakh, making it more affordable than the Swift by around Rs 60,000.

Similarly, the prices of the Hyundai i20 and the Tata Altroz range between Rs 7.04 lakh to Rs 11.20 lakh (ex-showroom) and Rs 6.64 lakh to Rs 9.70 lakh (ex-showroom), respectively, making the 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift more affordable than these two premium hatchbacks.
