Maruti Ciaz - Rs 9.30 lakh to Rs 12.29 lakh

The Maruti Ciaz rivals the likes of Volkswagen Virtus, Skoda Slavia, Honda City, and Hyundai Verna in its segment. The Ciaz boasts features like LED Projector Headlamps with DRLs, and slick front bumpers. Inside, it gets the birch blonde wood finish and a spacious cabin. Maruti Baleno - Rs 6.61 lakh to Rs 9.88 lakh

A feature-rich premium hatchback, the Maruti Baleno comes with a more affordable high-end variant compared to its arch rivals - the Hyundai i20 and Tata Altroz. The car boasts some impressive features like a 360-degree camera and a heads-up display. The Baleno is equipped with a 1.2-litre petrol engine capable of churning out 88.50bhp of maximum power and 113Nm of peak torque.

Maruti Ignis - Rs 5.84 lakh to Rs 8.16 lakh

A mid-size hatchback, the Maruti Ignis is pitted against the likes of Maruti Swift and Hyundai Grand i10 Nios in its segment. The Ignis boasts features like a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. In terms of safety, it gets ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, and dual front airbags. The powerplant generates a max power of 72.41bhp and a peak torque of 95Nm. The price range of the petrol-manual variant is between Rs 6.30 lakh and Rs 8.00 lakh (ex-showroom). The CNG-manual variant’s prices range between Rs 7.80 lakh and Rs 8.95 lakh (ex-showroom).

An affordable subcompact SUV, the Nissan Magnite gets looks of an SUV with high ground clearance in the budget of micro SUVs and premium hatchbacks. The car also comes in a CNG avatar and offers a claimed efficiency of up to 33.85 km/kg.
