Introducing the Mercedes-AMG S63 E-Performance, the most powerful S-Class ever, now available in India. Traditionally, the 63 AMG badge signified a robust 6.3-litre V8 engine, later downsized to a 4.0-litre V8. In 2024, the S63 badge comes with a new suffix – E-Performance, heralding the era of hybrid AMG engines. This S63 is the second hybrid model from Mercedes-Benz in India, following the flagship GT 63 S E Performance 4-door Coupé.

Exterior Specifications

This model is Edition 1, available in limited numbers, representing the pinnacle of AMG performance with all optional extras included. Notably, this S63 AMG features a new front design. For the first time, it sports an AMG-specific Panamericana grille, without the traditional three-pointed star logo. Instead, it bears the Affalterbach logo, adding a unique touch.

The car features an aggressive AMG bumper made of real carbon fibre, as part of the Night Package. The side view reveals its distinctive identity with a V8 E-Performance logo and 21-inch wheels that enhance its bold appearance. Additional carbon fibre elements are present on the side skirts.

Interior Features

Inside, it maintains the luxurious S-Class ambiance with AMG enhancements. The S-Class steering wheel now includes two circular dials for drive modes, evoking a race car feel. The dashboard features carbon fibre finishers, complemented by Nappa leather throughout. The large MBUX screen dominates the dashboard, incorporating various AMG-specific elements.

Mercedes India Launch

The Mercedes-AMG S63 E-Performance is set to launch in India on May 22, with an anticipated price tag of around Rs 3-3.5 crore (ex-showroom). This launch will coincide with the introduction of the latest iteration of the Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600 flagship luxury SUV, both part of Mercedes-Benz India’s model offensive for 2024.
