American automaker Jeep is set to unveil full details of its new Wagoneer S electric SUV on May 30, 2024. This will be Jeep's flagship electric SUV and their first all-electric model for the American market. Earlier this year, Jeep released images of the Wagoneer S, offering a closer look at its exterior design and providing some information about the technology in the cabin and the powertrain.

What's Expected Of The Jeep Wagoneer?

The Wagoneer S maintains a design closely aligned with its concept, featuring a sleek grille and headlamps, LED light bars at both the front and rear, and a raked rear windshield topped with a prominent roof-mounted spoiler. Built on the STLA Large platform—one of four EV platforms Stellantis announced in 2021—the electric SUV aims to steer the brand in a new direction while upholding Jeep's core values of legendary off-road capability.

Inside, the cabin will be tech-centric, with images indicating up to four digital screens on the dashboard. This includes a pair of screens on the center console for infotainment and in-car functions, as well as a dedicated screen for the co-driver. The model will also feature a panoramic sunroof.

The Wagoneer S will deliver over 600 bhp and 836 Nm of peak torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 3.4 seconds. In a short film shared by Jeep, the Wagoneer S is shown competing against a Tesla Model Y and a Jeep Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, hinting at the new model's performance capabilities. Notably, the Grand Cherokee Trackhawk, previously Jeep’s fastest accelerating SUV, can go from 0-100 km/h in 3.5 seconds. The Wagoneer S also promises a range of over 500 km.

While the Jeep Avenger, the brand's first EV, is currently available in Europe with no plans to launch in the US, Jeep recently revealed the Recon electric off-roader. The Recon, also built on the STLA Large platform, is set to go on sale in the US towards the end of this year.
