Volkswagen Reveals Enhanced Golf GTI Clubsport, Know All Features
The Golf GTI Clubsport stands out from the standard GTI with significant exterior and performance upgrades. The Clubsport's front apron includes larger, arrow-shaped wings pointing inward. This is complemented by a high-gloss black finish on the front spoiler, bumper grille, and surrounding trim.

Volkswagen Introducing New Sporty Clubsport
At the rear, the Clubsport features a larger spoiler for improved aerodynamics. The car's twin-pipe exhaust system, a hallmark of the GTI, can be upgraded to an Akrapovic sports exhaust through the optional Race package. This package also offers 19-inch forged 'Warmenau' wheels, which are 20% lighter than standard alloy wheels, though 18-inch 'Richmond' wheels come as standard.
The fourth-generation modular infotainment system (MIB4) is included, available in Ready 2 Discover and Discover versions. Both versions feature a 12.9-inch central touchscreen with ChatGPT integration. The Clubsport also includes the Digital Cockpit Pro, featuring a 10.2-inch instrument cluster.
Additional options include a head-up display and sports seats upholstered in ArtVelours fabric. Volkswagen also provides optional carbon-fibre interior trim and a 480W Harman Kardon sound system for further customization.
The Golf GTI Clubsport is powered by the EA888 EVO4 engine, the same as the regular Golf GTI, delivering 296 bhp and 400 Nm of torque to the front wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission. An electronically controlled front differential lock helps manage the power, and the DCC adaptive chassis control is available as an optional feature.
The Clubsport accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and has a top speed electronically limited to 250 km/h, which can be increased to 267 km/h with the Race package. Drivers can choose from four standard drive modes: Eco, Comfort, Sport, and Individual. The Clubsport also adds a fifth mode, Special, tailored to the Nürburgring Nordschleife.
The highlight of the Golf GTI Clubsport is the exclusive Special Driving Profile, which adjusts vehicle systems to the specific conditions of the Nürburgring Nordschleife. The DCC adaptive chassis control is optimized for the track's vertical dynamics, and the Vehicle Dynamics Manager is tuned for lateral dynamics.
