Adani Meets Canada's Jet Maker Bombardier CEO, Mulls Partnership In India’s Aviation Sector  

India’s second richest person, the Adani Group’s owner, Gautam Adani said on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 that he met Canada based business jet manufacturer, Bombardier chief executive Eric Martel to discourse on partnership in aviation sector.

New Delhi: India’s second richest person, Gautam Adani said on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 that he met Canada based business jet manufacturer, Bombardier, chief executive, Eric Martel. The two business tycoons discoursed on  partnership in India's aircraft and defence sector. Adani said that this partnership will further make India self reliant in these two industries. It is to be noted that the Adani conglomerate already has operations in the country’s airport industry. The group currently operates seven airports in the country.

Billionaire Gautam Adani  posted about the meet up at his social media andle on ‘X’ and said, “Powering India's aviation growth! Had a great discussion with Bombardier, CEO Éric Martel on transformative partnerships in Aircraft Services, MRO and Defence. Together, we are harnessing synergies for a stronger, self-reliant India.

The Adani Group already operates airports in Indian cities in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Mangaluru, Jaipur, Guwahati and Thiruvananthapuram. Apart from these, the group has already secured government’s approval for operation of six more airports. The group has earmarked Rs 60,000 crore to serve the purpose. The conglomerate’s subsidiary, Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL) is India's largest airport infrastructure company with around 25% market share.
