Construction work of Chilla elevated road project in Noida is expected to commence in next three months. The project was facing hurdles due to cost escalation. As per the reports, the issue has been resolved and Uttar Pradesh Government has recently approved an additional budget of around Rs 105 crore 45 lakh for the project.

Chilla elevated road project has been in works for 12 years but only 13% work of construction work has been completed. It’s construction first began in 2019. The construction was halted in November 2021 due to budget issues. This project aims to offer seamless ride and provide better connectivity to commuters who travel between Delhi and Noida. Currently, people use Delhi-Noida link road to travel which remains congested during the peak hours of the day.

Spanning over 5.96 km, Chilla Elevated Road will have six lanes that will connect Delhi’s Chilla Regulator place near Mayur Vihar to the Mahamaya Flyover on the Noida Expressway. It aims to reduce traffic congestion between Chilla border to Mahamaya flyover.

Uttar Pradesh State Bridge Corporation Ltd. (UPSBC) is building the road. The Uttar Pradesh Cabinet had already sanctioned a revised budget of Rs 787 crore back in April 2023.

Noida authority has given the contract of Chilla elevated road project to MG Contractors. It is a joint venture between the Noida Authority and the Public Works Department (PWD).
