People Link Bengaluru Murder Case to Shraddha Walker Case
Mahalakshmi's murder, which was exposed on Saturday, had everyone in the city in a state of shock and was termed a repeat of the 2022 Shraddha Walker case from Delhi where the victim was dismembered and kept in a fridge. Mahalakshmi's body, infested with maggots already, was found by her mother and sister cut into pieces and hidden in the fridge at her Vyalikaval home.
Roy Identified As Prime Suspect, Multiple Detained For Questioning
Earlier, Parameshwara had told reporters that several persons had been detained for questioning, but evidence pointed towards Roy as a prime suspect. "The estranged husband of the victim suspected a man who lived nearby and was believed to be close to Mahalakshmi.
He said several measures are already in place, such as the Nirbhaya program and CCTV camera installations, to ensure the safety of women in Bengaluru.
