Bengaluru: If Bengaluru is famous for its IT hub then it’s popular for its traffic also. This traffic usually causes problem for the commuters, but it has now affected a train. A video has gone viral in the internet, where a train has been found stuck at railway gate as the vehicles blocked the tracks.

The train is found waiting in traffic along with other vehicles like bus, scooters, bikes and cars. The incident took place at Bengaluru's Munnekolala railway gate near outer ring road. The video was shot on Tuesday.

While some users have found it hilarious, others have pointed out at ineffective management in dealing with city’s traffic. One user wrote, “No one can escape from Bengaluru Traffic, Even trains in Bengaluru got stuck in traffic.” Another user said, “Just Bengaluru things. Not just me or you, even trains can’t escape Bengaluru traffic.”

Netizens have pointed out at the transportation and severe traffic challenges that the city is grappled with. Such visuals are an everyday scene in the city.

While the netizens enjoyed the video calling it a ‘Peak Bengaluru moment’, the South Western Railway (SWR) has clarified on the train’s halt at the Munnekolala railway crossing.

Speaking to Deccan Herald, the SWR said, "The train did not stop because of a traffic jam but was halted by the loco pilot for inspection. In order to avoid traffic congestion, the gateman opened the level-crossing gate. The train resumed its journey after the entire rake was duly inspected and the level crossing gate was closed.”

The train was halted for 15-20 minutes.

Sudhir Chakravarthy had shot the video of the train and posted it on Instagram. He told DH that it was the first time that he had something like this, and the area is always choked with traffic like this.
