Chennai Viral Video: ‘Vulgar’ Dance At Doctors’ Conference Draws Online Backlash

A dance performance during Doctors’ conference has sparked strong reaction from netizens. It has called ‘pathetic’, ‘disgusting’ and ‘vulgar’ by the users. People have questioned such act at a medical conference. They have asked the government to take action against it. In the video, a woman can be seen dancing, surrounded by men mostly.

One man even comes closer to her and enjoys the beat of sing with her. The man is seen holding a glass, which people have called as glass of alcohol. The woman is seen pulling the hands of another man for a dance and this man later joins her.

A banner with “ACRSICON 2024” can be seen in the video indicating a medical conference as ACRSICON stands for Annual Conference of the Association of Colon and Rectal Surgeons of India. The video is said to be of Chennai.

The video has been shared by a user on his X, where he wrote that this is a dance performance from a surgeons’ conference.

People are calling out IMA for such a dance performance during medical conference. “What I want to know from the Indian Medical Association is this some kind of training in human anatomy? Old doctors grabbing a woman in public is what part of medicine practice?” wrote one user. They are calling it shameful and indecent according to the program that was held. “What kind of conference is this?” asked another user.

There is no official statement on who organized this dance performance in the doctors’ conference.
