Delhi Horror: Did Father Bring 'Poisoned Sweets' For Himself And His Four Daughters? CCTV Footage Reveals SHOCKING Details
A horrifying incident from Delhi’s Vasant Kunj, where five members of the same family, committed suicide by consuming poisonous substance has sent shockwaves across the national capital.
The police investigation is underway and now in a shocking development, CCTV footage have emerged which has further puzzled the mystery of deaths. In the CCTV footage, a 46-year-old man is seen carrying a polythene bag in his hands and walking around 7 pm. According to the police, the boxes are believed to be of sweets.
The footage is of 24 September, which is also the day when the family was last spotted by the neighbours. On the basis of preliminary investigation, police believe that the man bought sweets and later poisoned them.
The matter had come to light on Friday after neighbours detected foul smell form the flat and reported to police. Upon arrival, police had found the bodies, recovered box of sweets, pesticide, and a juice like liquid.
Their bodies didn’t have any external injuries.
“The family alleged there was a financial strain on the father. We don’t know if this led to the deaths. We are also trying to ascertain the sequence of events. Since the father was last seen with a sweets box, we think they ate sweets laced with the poison and also had juice which was spiked with the same,” a police official said.
The man, identified as 50-year-old Hira Lal lived with his family in a rented house in Rangpuri village. His wife had died earlier. The family consisted of 4 daughters- Neetu (18), Nishi (15), Neeru (10), and Nidhi (8). All four daughters were unable to walk due to disabilities.
Police investigation is underway to find whether it was a suicide or not or there was any other conspiracy behind the death.
