Alia Bhatt Supports Deepika Padukone Amid Baby Bump Shaming, Internet Reacts

Deepika Padukone has been the target of massive negativity on social media ever since she announced her pregnancy earlier this year. Now her fellow actress Alia Bhatt has come out in support of the 'Pathaan' star and reacted strongly to the mother-shaming trolls.

Deepika is expecting her first child with actor-husband Ranveer Singh. On May 20, the actor stepped out to vote in the fifth phase of Lok Sabha Election 2024 in Mumbai. However, she was overshadowed by a group of netizens who made nasty comments about her body and even called her baby bump fake. ". Amid the constant trolling of the actress on social media, senior journalist Faye D'Souza wrote a strongly worded post on her official Instagram account showing solidarity with Deepika.

Faye wrote in her post, "Dear social media, Deepika Padukone came out to do her democratic duty and vote. She didn't ask for your suggestions about her body or her pregnancy. You have no right to comment on anything in her life. Stop Alia quickly liked the post, Alia's sisters Pooja Bhatt and Shaheen Bhatt, and her mother Soni Razdan also liked the post.
