In an interview with 'The Dirty Magazine', Abhay Deol discussed his sexuality when asked specifically about it, especially considering his comeback film 'Ban Tikki', directed by a queer director. Abhay remarked that he views this entire issue like a spectrum. He mentioned that people perceive it differently here, and he cannot define himself in this context. It might seem controversial, but he cannot define his sexuality.

He continued, stating that he does not like judging sexuality in a Western way because in Western culture, one might be attracted to either a boy or another boy. Instead, he prefers the Eastern approach where there are no restrictions on whom one may be attracted to.

In the interview, Abhay Deol mentioned that he cannot say whether he is attracted to girls or boys. He acknowledged that this statement might be controversial to hear, but that's the way it is. He emphasized that he has experienced all aspects of life and will continue to do so. Abhay also stated that everyone has both a masculine and a feminine side within them, though he admitted uncertainty about how to express this idea properly.

Abhay Deol has completed a 19-year journey in Bollywood. He kickstarted his film career with the movie 'Socha Na Tha' in 2015. Reflecting on nearly two decades spent in Bollywood, Abhay described it as if it were just yesterday.
