Coldplay Concert Controversy: BookMyShow CEO to Record Statement on Sept 28
Coldplay Concert Controversy: Amid the controversy over black market sale of Coldplay concert tickets, Mumbai Police summoned BookMyShow’s CEO on Friday, as reported by ANI. The summons followed a complaint filed by advocate Amit Vyas.
The Mumbai-based lawyer, who is also the Founder Partner of Vertices Partners, alleged in his PIL that BookMyShow and event organiser Live Nation Entertainment are involved in a large-scale ticket scam. Amit called it the “blatant violation of consumer rights and various provisions of Indian Criminal Law.”
Besides the CEO of Big Tree Entertainment Private Limited, which is the parent company of BookMyShow, company’s technical head has also been summoned. They will appear before the investigating officer of Economic Offences Wing (EOW) on Saturday, to record the statement and assist the investigation.
