Shubhangi Atre is currently ruling many hearts with her amazing portrayal of Angoori Bhabhi in the hit sitcom 'Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain!'. When she saw a rise in her popularity in 2007 while working in ‘Kasturi’ in the lead role, her daughter was only 11 months old. Talking about the same, Shubhangi revealed, "When I started working in 'Kasturi', Ashi (her daughter) was only 11 months old. We used to have both day and night shoots when I started working with Balaji Films. I don't think I will ever be over that guilt. I was the central character in the show, so I couldn't go anywhere else. The job of a television actor can be very demanding as it's a big commitment and you have to give up on many things."

The actress also revealed that her daughter is currently in the US and she gets concerned about her well-being as they are far from each other. Expressing her concerns about the recent harassment cases and the safety of her daughter, she added, “ Ashi and I are so far away as she is in the US and I am here. It's so heartbreaking when I hear about these heinous crimes. More than teaching girls to be safe, we should teach our boys first. If that starts to happen, I don't think there will be many of these incidents. It's also important for girls to learn self-defense but then if there are four people surrounding you, what can one do even after learning self-defense? It's extremely important for people in India to change their mentality and also to correct how boys are being raised. They should also know how to respect women.”
