Mehta, renowned for his critically acclaimed shows like 'Scam 1992' and 'Scoop', expressed his privilege in collaborating with an exceptionally talented cast. He emphasized the excitement of adding remarkable international actors to the ensemble, as they prepare to present their labor of love to global audiences. Mehta underscored the relevance of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi's story, particularly his formative years in London and South Africa, as a tale for our times. He described it as an untouched but fertile narrative of a young man's voyage of self-discovery, unaware of the profound impact he would have on history and collective consciousness. Mehta concluded by expressing his genuine honor in bringing this epic tale to life.

'Gandhi' is an international production set to be filmed across diverse locations in India and abroad. Siddhartha Basu is involved in the project as a historical consultant, factual advisor, and creative consultant, adding expertise and authenticity to the production.
