He took to YouTube and Instagram to refute rumors about Ranveer Singh being chosen to play Shaktimaan, clarifying the situation directly with his fans.

On his Instagram account, Mukesh Khanna shared a collage featuring himself and Ranveer Singh. In the caption, he addressed the widespread rumor circulating on social media regarding Ranveer playing Shaktimaan. Despite initially staying silent, Mukesh Khanna felt compelled to speak out when news channels began reporting Ranveer's alleged casting. He firmly expressed his stance that regardless of his star status, someone with Ranveer's image couldn't portray Shaktimaan. Mukesh Khanna asserted his decision and concluded by stating, "Now let's see what happens next."

In a recent video posted on his YouTube channel, Mukesh Khanna criticized Ranveer Singh's nude photoshoot for Paper magazine, condemning it as against Indian cultural norms. Mukesh took aim at the actor, suggesting that if Ranveer is comfortable with nudity, he should pursue roles in countries where such scenes are more accepted, implying that they don't align with Indian values.

Mukesh Khanna emphasized that Shaktimaan's significance surpasses that of conventional superheroes like Spider-Man or Batman. He highlighted Shaktimaan's role not only as a superhero but also as a mentor figure, symbolizing the importance of moral values. Mukesh stressed the importance of casting an actor who possesses the ability to command attention and inspire respect through their words. He cautioned against selecting actors whose personal image might overshadow the character's essence.
