Karan Johar Announces Dhadak 2 With Siddhant Chaturvedi And Triptii Dimri

In a social media blitz, filmmaker Karan Johar drops a bombshell – Dhadak 2 is happening! The sequel to the 2018 hit takes the stage with a brand new cast. Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri step into the lead roles, bringing their sizzling chemistry to the big screen. Shazia Iqbal takes the director's chair for this project, co-produced by Dharma Productions, Zee Studios, and Cloud 9 Pictures.

Johar himself took to Instagram to unveil the news with a thrilling teaser. The video cuts between scenes from the original Dhadak and introduces Chaturvedi and Dimri in their new avatars. A short exchange between the actors hints at a forbidden love story brewing, keeping fans on the edge of their seats.

Dhadak 2 promises to delve into the complexities of class and caste divides, echoing the themes of its predecessor. Cameras are expected to roll soon, with a release date locked in for November 22nd, 2024.

The original Dhadak, a remake of the Marathi film Sairat, launched the careers of Janhvi Kapoor and Ishaan Khattar. The movie went on to become a box office success, raking in over ₹110 crore worldwide.
