Tamil actor Jayam Ravi grabbed the headlines after announcing his divorce from his wife Aarti. This news came as a shock to his fans and later the name of singer Kenishaa Francis was linked to him four causing trouble in his marriage. The singer, in an interview with DT Next, denied all the rumors and revealed that Jayam Ravi only got in touch with her after he sent a notice for divorce to Aarti.
Kenishaa Francis said, "He got in touch with me when he was mentally and emotionally bruised and battered from his marriage to Aarti. There are certain articles that say I am the reason behind his separation from his ex-wife. Those are false claims. He came to me only after he sent a notice for divorce by mutual consent through his lawyer. He approached me because he didn't want anyone in Chennai to know about this.”
Earlier, Kenishaa also penned a note on Instagram on the issue and asked people to stay out of it. She wrote, "A humble request and an appeal I make to all of who have taken the liberty to make other people’s issue your own. Firstly, and humbly I say this to you - stay out of it, coz it’s not your home’s issue but someone else’s home, and you’re not allowed an opinion in this matter. Secondly, leave me out of it, I have work to do and I don’t advocate for uncanny banter. Lastly, be kind to everyone. It’s the only necessity in the world right now.”
Jayam Ravi announced his divorce on September 9 via social media. The actor wrote in his post, "Life is a journey filled with various chapters, each presenting its own opportunities and challenges. As many of you have followed my journey both on and off screen with utmost love and support, I have always strived to be as transparent and honest with my Fans and the Media as much as possible. It is with a heavy heart that I must share a deeply personal update with all of you."
He added, "After much thought, reflections and discussions, I have taken the difficult decision to proceed with the dissolution of my marriage with Aarti. This decision was not made out of haste and it stems from personal reasons that I believe are in the best interests of everyone involved.In light of this, I hereby kindly request all of you to respect our privacy as well as that of our family members during this difficult time and appeal to all of you to refrain from making any assumptions, rumors or allegations in this regard and let the matter remain private."
On the work front, Jayam Ravi will next star in the movie 'Brother' with Priyanka Mohan. He will star in a fantasy movie called 'Genie'.
