‘Laapataa Ladies’ has been selected as India’s official submission for Oscars 2025. The prestigious award ceremony will be held on March 3, 2025, in Los Angeles, US. The movie has to go through several rounds of selection to be officially nominated in the Best International Feature Film category. Moreover, ‘Laapataa Ladies’ has to compete with around 50 movies to get into the top five nominees and other countries also submitted their best movies of the year.

'From Ground Zero' is an anthology movie, featuring animation, documentaries, and fictional stories about the current situation of people living in Gaza in the middle of the Israel-Hamas War.

What's Next For Laapataa Ladies:
To get the nomination for Best International Feature Film, the duration of the movie should be more than 40 minutes. The movie should be produced outside of the US and must have more than 50 percent non-English dialogues.
The final shortlist will be announced on December 17, 2025, and the nominees will be revealed on January 17, 2025. These selections are made by the screening committees organized for the particular award category.
