Though work keeps her busy, Seerat makes sure that she enjoys a garba night every year during Navratri. “For the last couple of years I have not been able to celebrate this festival in my hometown, but now that I am in Mumbai, I try to celebrate it in Mumbai style. We go to Garba at least one night and participate in the pooja here.”

While she is a spiritual and traditional person by heart, the actor finds it difficult to fast due to her hectic schedule and work commitments. However, her family ensure that they don't cook food with onions and garlic during Navratri, confirms the actor.

Seerat also confesses that Navratri symbolises the victory of good over evil, and she relates to it on a personal level. She says, “My whole belief system is based on the fact that evil never wins and goodness never goes unnoticed. I believe that nothing bad can ever happen with good people, and that is a great motivation for me.”

Beyond the fun and fervour, Seerat loves the spiritual connection she feels in this month. “Spiritually and emotionally, I associate the power of Devi, which resides in every woman, with this festival. Goddesses provide us with our inner strength and we are grateful for that," she ends.
