She wrote: 'It was a difficult day for us, but we fought well, and I am grateful to those who believed in my father and voted for him. We are ready for the next step. Neha Sharma conducted an extensive campaign for her father in the Bhagalpur Lok Sabha. The JDU candidate, competing against Ajit Sharma, garnered 279,323 votes, whereas Ajit Sharma received 213,383 votes.
