The turbulence at the borders reached the cinema and in 2016 the exchange of art and artists was banned after the Uri attack. Taking into consideration the safety and nationality post-attack, the Indian Motion Picture Producer's Association made a rule and banned Pakistani artists. Celebrities like Fawad Khan, Mahira Khan, Rahat Fateh Ali Khan haven't entered the Indian soil since then.
