Prabhas' Fans Not Convinced As Arshad Warsi Calls Him A 'Brilliant Actor' After Joker Comment: 'Ab Bolne Ka Kya Fayda'
Arshad Warsi got embroiled in a controversy after he said Prabhas looked like a joker in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. This comment did not sit well with Prabhas’ fans and Ashad was brutally trolled for his statement. The ‘Jolly LLB’ actor finally broke his silence on his ‘joker’ comment at the recent IIFA 2024 ceremony and clarified that he did not criticise Prabhas’ acting skills but his character in the movie. Even though Arshad made a clarification about his opinion, Prabhas’ fans did not seem to be convinced.
When asked about his ‘joker’ comment on Prabhas, Arshad told the media, “Everybody has their own point of view and people like to interpret noise. I spoke about the character, not the person. He (Prabhas) is a brilliant actor. He has proved himself again and again, and we know about it. And, when we give a bad character to a good actor, it's heartbreaking for the audience.”

Prabhas’ fans did not seem to be convinced by Arshad’s clarification and pointed out he could have presented his opinions differently. Other fans also said that Arshad would not have been trolled if he said this before. See how netizens reacted.
For the unversed, Arshad had made these comments on his appearance at Samdish’s podcast on YouTube. He was impressed with Amitabh Bachchan’s performance as Aswhattama but did not like Prabhas’ character in ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. He said, “Prabhas, I am really sad, but why was he like a joker? Why? I want to see a Mad Max yaar; I want to see Mel Gibson over there. Tumne usko kya bana diya yaar. Kyun karte hai aisa mujhe nahi samajh mein aata hai (What have you made it? Why do filmmakers do this? I will never understand).”
Meanwhile, ‘Kalki 2898 AD’ also stars Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan in the lead roles. The movie is set in a post-apocalyptic world, where a group of rebels try to save lab subject SUM-80's unborn child. The movie has become the highest-grossing film of 2024 and will return for its second instalment.
