Around 12 years after her separation from actor Pawan Kalyan, Renuka Desai, also known as Renu Desai, still faces criticism from his fans. Recently, she used social media to confront a user who trolled her for her decision to leave the Telugu actor Pawan Kalyan, who is now the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh.

The controversy began when a social media user commented on one of her Instagram posts, implying that she should have been more patient in her marriage with Pawan and describing him as "almost like a god". In response, she refuted the comment, stating that it was not her who left him, but rather the other way around.

The original Telugu comment read, "You should have been more patient, sister-in-law. You misunderstood someone akin to a god. Perhaps now you realize his worth. But I’m glad the kids are with Pawan Kalyan."

While Renuka typically refrains from reacting to hate comments, she chose not to overlook this instance and decided to address it.

Addressing the personal aspect of their separation, she responded, "If you possessed any intelligence, you wouldn’t make such a foolish remark. It was he who left me and remarried, not the other way around. Kindly refrain from such comments as they only cause me distress."

Following the exchange, Renuka deleted the comments and turned off the comment sections on her posts.

Renu Desai and Pawan Kalyan were married for three years until their separation in 2012. They share two children: a son named Akira and a daughter named Aadhya. Akira has been actively involved in supporting his father's political endeavors. Recently, Aadhya accompanied her father to a meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Pawan Kalyan has moved on and remarried twice since then, currently married to Anna Lezhneva. In contrast, Renu has remained unmarried.
