Megastar Chiranjeevi was felicitated with the prestigious Guinness World Record on September 22, which coincidentally was day the megastar made his acting debut in 1978. The award for 'The Most Prolific Film Star in Indian Film Industry' was handed over to him by actor Aamir Khan and a representative of the Guinness World Records.
The certificate issued by the Guinness Book Of World Records read, "The most prolific film star in Indian Film Industry – actor/dancer is Konidela Chiranjeevi aka Mega Star achieved on 20 September 2024."
The widely-known actor created the record for his dance performances with more than 537 songs and 24,000 dance moves over the period of 45 years. This has not been achieved by any actor across the globe.
Why did he win the award?
The news was shared among fans by actor Ram Charan’s wife and Chiranjeevi’s daughter-in-law Upasana Konidela. Taking to social media platform, she wrote, “Congratulations to my Mamaya Megastar Chiranjeevi Garu for achieving the Guinness World Record as the Most Prolific Film Star in Indian Cinema, with 156 films and 24,000+ dance moves across 537 songs in 45 years! #ChiranjeeviGuinnessRecord #MegastarChiranjeevi @KChiruTweets @GWR.”

What did Aamir Khan say?
Aamir Khan, who shared the moment with him on stage, appreciated the megastar and expressed his love for him. "If you watch any of his songs, his heart is completely in it. He enjoys every move, and because of that, we can't take our eyes off him. His joy is infectious, and we all feel it as we watch him," said Aamir.
He further mentioned, "Your journey has been filled with many milestones, and I'm certain there are more to come. We are always here to be entertained and inspired by you."
