J&K Breathing Freely After Article 370 Abrogation: PM Modi

Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Prime Minster Narendra Modi on Thursday said that 140 crore people of the country are satisfied after seeing new Jammu and Kashmir. The statement came following PM Modi’s first visit to union territory after Article 370 was scrapped.

Ahead of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Prime Minster Narendra Modi on Thursday said that 140 crore people of the country are satisfied after seeing new Jammu and Kashmir. The statement came following PM Modi’s first visit to union territory after abrogation Article 370 in the state.

Addressing a pubic rally, PM Modi said that this is the new Jammu and Kashmir for which the whole country have been waiting for decades. "This is the new Kashmir for which Dr Syama Prasad Mookerjee gave up his life. Today's Jammu and Kashmir have the courage to overcome any challenge and it state's future is very bright," he stated.

PM emphasised that whenever he visited J&K after 2014, he was making efforts with the sole purpose of winning hearts of the people residing. “I can see that I am able to win the hearts. I will not stop trying. This is Modi's guarantee...”, he said.

Attacking the grand old party - Congress, PM Modi said that the union territory has been a victim of 'Parivarvad' and corruption.

He alleged that the previous governments are responsible for the destruction of the J&K bank saying that they have filled it with their relatives and nephews. "These 'Parivarvads' have destroyed the bank", PM said.

PM Modi also informed that due to mismanagement of the previous governments, the bank incurred so much loss that all J&K people were on the verge of thousands of crores of rupees.

Meanwhile, PM Modi also inaugurated several development projects worth Rs 6400 crore for boosting agri-economy and tourism in Jammu and Kashmir.
