26-Year-Old Married Woman Molested By Health Worker While Sleeping In Kolkata Hospital

Following the woman's complaint, Kolkata Police registered an FIR against the ward boy under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and arrested him.

Kolkata: Yet another crime involving a woman has come to light, where a 26-year-old married lady was allegedly molested while sleeping, by a health worker at a government hospital in Kolkata. According to reports, her son was admitted to the hospital while she was resting in the children's ward when this incident occurred. The accused, identified as 26-year-old Tanay Pal has been arrested by the Kolkata Police.

According to the victim's complaint, the accused works as a ward boy in the hospital. She complained that the boy entered the children's ward, inappropriately groped and molested her. She further alleged that he even filmed the video on his smartphone.

Following the woman's complaint, Kolkata Police registered an FIR against the ward boy under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. As per reports, his mobile phone has been sent for forensic examination and he was presented before a local court. 

Similar incidents have been previously reported, where an on-duty nurse was allegedly molested by a man who was admitted to a hospital in Birbhum district, West Bengal. The incident also comes weeks after a trainee doctor was raped and murdered at Kolkata's RG Kar Medical Hospital.
