Police arrested three laborers from Uttar Pradesh after they attempted to enter the high-security Parliament complex using forged Aadhaar cards.

The Delhi Police arrested the three accused, Kasim, Monis, and Soyeb, on charges of forgery and cheating. CISF personnel intercepted and detained the trio at the flap gate entry of Parliament House on Tuesday while they stood in a queue for a security check.

When the accused presented their Aadhaar cards, CISF personnel found the documents suspicious. Upon further scrutiny, the cards were confirmed to be forged. The CISF personnel immediately detained the suspects and handed them over to the Delhi Police. Following the discovery, authorities launched an investigation into the source of the forged documents and potential security breaches. The incident raised concerns about the effectiveness of existing verification processes at high-security locations.

An investigation revealed that Dee Vee Projects Limited had hired them to construct the MP's lounge inside the Parliament complex. This project was part of a broader initiative to modernize the facilities available to members of Parliament. The company ensured the use of high-quality materials and adherence to strict deadlines to complete the lounge efficiently.

The CISF personnel handed over the three accused to the Delhi Police, who registered an FIR against them under various sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), including Section 465 (forgery), Section 419 (cheating by personation), Section 120B (criminal conspiracy), Section 471 (using as genuine a forged document), and Section 468 (forgery for purpose of cheating).

The CISF recently assumed full responsibility for the security of the Parliament complex, replacing the CRPF and Delhi Police contingents.
