In Reasi, Jammu and Kashmir, a bus carrying pilgrims was attacked by terrorists. The attackers shot at the bus without targeting at anyone in particular. They shot the driver and he lost control of the vehicle, which then careened into a pit. There are 10 deaths reported and more than 30 people are injured. Victims can be found in different health-care facilities. This incident happened while people were coming from Shivkhodi and were headed for Katra town.

Santosh Kumar Verma, a resident of Balrampur in UP, who got injured in the terrorist attack, recounted the incident. Verma said that “ while coming down from Shivkhodi to Katra, terrorists started shooting at the bus”. When the driver was killed on the spot, the bus plunged into the ditch. The shooting lasted for 20 minutes before the police came in together with local people for rescue.

Neelam Gupta, a resident of Gonda in UP, detailed how a trip back from Shivkhodi turned into a horror. Terrorists fired at the bus, causing it to lose balance and fall into a ditch. Gupta couldn't determine the number of terrorists present. She mentioned that when the bus fell, they couldn't see the terrorists. There were 40 passengers on that bus, with kids also included among these numbers. Gupta and others sustained injuries on their hands and legs. She mentioned that her husband, brother-in-law, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law were also on the bus.

A pilgrim reported that there were 6-7 terrorists with covered faces who attacked. They initially surrounded the bus on the road and started firing. After the bus fell, they approached and continued firing to ensure casualties. The pilgrim mentioned they remained silent throughout. The incident occurred around 30 minutes after departing from Shiv Khodi for Vaishno Devi at 6 PM.
