The Resident Doctors’ Association of AIIMS, New Delhi, has ended their 11-day strike following the Supreme Court’s intervention in the rape and murder case of a trainee doctor in Kolkata. In a statement, the association announced their decision to resume duties, citing the Supreme Court’s appeal and assurances regarding the safety and security of healthcare workers.

Gratitude to the Supreme Court

The AIIMS resident doctors expressed their gratitude to the Supreme Court for addressing the pressing issue of doctor safety, which had become a focal point after the horrific incident at Kolkata’s RG Kar Medical College. The court’s involvement reassured the doctors that their concerns were being taken seriously.
