Air Force Helicopter Crashes Into Floodwaters In Muzaffarpur, Bihar
Muzaffarpur: A major incident has been reported from Muzaffarpur, Bihar, where an Airforce helicopter has crashed in a flood-affected area. According to the information received, the Indian Airforce helicopter was on its way to deliver relief materials to flood victims in Muzaffarpur when it crashed into floodwaters, causing panic at the scene.

Helicopter Was Carrying Relief Materials
It has been reported that the accident occurred in Ward No. 13 of Naya Gaon, Aurai, Muzaffarpur. The helicopter was carrying relief materials from Sitamarhi to distribute in the flood-hit areas of Muzaffarpur. During the operation, the helicopter became involved in an accident and fell into the floodwaters. After the crash, a team from SDRF (State Disaster Response Force) and local villagers immediately began rescue operations to extract those on board. However, some individuals reportedly started looting the relief materials from the fallen helicopter using boats.

Pilot's Presence of Mind Prevents Major Disaster
After the incident, Additional Chief Secretary of the Disaster Management Department, Pratyaya Amrit, stated that the pilot’s quick thinking averted a larger disaster. He explained that after the helicopter’s engine failed, the pilot made an emergency landing in the water. All Airforce personnel, including the pilot, are safe. The helicopter crashed during the water landing, and the injured soldiers are being taken to SKMCH hospital for treatment. SDRF had already initiated the rescue operation immediately after the crash.
