A Delhi-Mumbai Akasa Air flight was diverted to Ahmedabad on Monday morning following a security alert on the plane. The flight carried at least 186 passengers, including a baby, and six crew members.

After diverting to Ahmedabad, the plane landed safely at Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport around 10.13 am.

All passengers were evacuated at the airport.

'The captain followed all required emergency procedures and landed at the airport. Akasa Air follows and maintains all safety and security protocols in place,' an Akasa Air spokesperson said

Similar Bomb Threat Incidents

In a separate incident on June 2, a Vistara flight from Paris to Mumbai with 306 passengers on board received a bomb threat, prompting authorities to declare a full emergency at the city's airport before landing in Mumbai.

In another incident, an IndiGo flight from Varanasi to Delhi received a bomb threat on June 1. After that, all the passengers were safely evacuated from the plane after landing at Delhi airport. The airline said in a statement that flight 6E 2232 from Varanasi to Delhi received a bomb threat.
