Tihar jail has produced information refuting claims made by AAP regarding Arvind Kejriwal's health. As per the information provided by the jail administration, the Delhi chief minister didn't lose 8.5 kilograms as quoted by Atishi Singh in the press conference she held on Sunday. The report claims that Kejriwal lost two kilograms of weight and it was a deliberate attempt by him.

On April 1, 2024, when he was sent to Tihar, Delhi CM weighed 65 kgs whereas on April 8 and 29, his weight was 66 kgs. On the day when he returned to jail after donning election campaigns, i.e. June 2, he was measured at 63.5 kgs while on July 14, the day of his bail, he weighed 61.5 kilograms. So the different remains of two kilos.

The report further states that this weight loss was a deliberate attempt made by him as he started returning his home-cooked meals from June 3, i.e. from the very next day after his return post-campaigns. A medical board constituted by AIIMS as per the guidance of the court keeps a check on his health and his wife Sunita Kejriwal remains in regular consultation with the medical board.

The report by the Tihar jail also claims that in his previous stint, Arvind Kejriwal deliberately consumed foods that would spike his sugar levels.
