After the plea challenging his arrest in the liquor policy case was dismissed by the Delhi High Court on April 9, Arvind Kejriwal moved to the Supreme Court challenging the ruling. The AAP convenor had also questioned the timing of the arrest just before the general elections. Now, the apex court stated on Monday that it will hear the Delhi chief minister's plea on April 29.

The Supreme Court granted the probe agency two weeks to respond to the CM's plea in the money laundering allegations linked to the liquor policy case.

Before this Arvind Kejriwal's plea was forthrightly dismissed by the High Court which noted in its ruling that as per the pieces of evidence submitted by the domestic agency (ED), Kejriwal was found involved and conspired in the process. In the hearing, the ED also mentioned that they seek cooperation from the chief minister while the latter has restrained from sharing his cellular phone's password.
