Shilanti Rahman was involved in the murder of Bangladesh MP

Shilanti Rahman, a citizen of Bangladesh, is identified as the woman involved. Bangladesh Police sources indicate that Shilanti is the girlfriend of Akhtaruzzaman Shaheen, the alleged mastermind behind the murder. Reports indicate that she was in Kolkata at the time of MP Anwarul's murder and accompanied Amanullah Aman, the prime suspect in the case, back to Dhaka on May 15.

Police sources indicate that Akhtaruzzaman used Shilanti as a honeytrap to lure the MP from Bangladesh to Kolkata. Shilanti's detention is based on statements provided by the accused individuals arrested in Bangladesh regarding this case.

The West Bengal CID has conducted the initial arrest in the murder case of the MP. According to CID sources, they have apprehended a person named Jihad Havaldar. Jihad, who is a professional butcher, was specifically summoned from Mumbai by the mastermind of the murder, Akhtaruzzaman, to execute this assignment.
