Bengaluru Horror: Woman Wakes Up Next To Friend's Dead Body

Bengaluru: In a tragic incident, a 28-year-old woman, B Navyashree, was found dead with her throat slit in her Bengaluru home. Her close friend, Aishwarya, who was staying with her for the night, discovered the horrifying scene around 6 a.m. on August 28, 2024. Navyashree, a dance instructor and host, had confided in Aishwarya about her troubled marriage and expressed fears for her life just hours before her death.

Navyashree’s husband, Kiran, a cab driver, has been arrested on charges of murder. Police say Kiran entered their home in Kengeri Upanagara’s SMV Layout around 5:30 a.m. using a spare key and killed Navyashree while both women were asleep. Signs of torture were reportedly found on Navyashree’s body before the fatal attack.

Marital Struggles and Fear for Safety

According to reports, Navyashree and Kiran had been married for three years despite opposition from their families. However, over the past year, their relationship had deteriorated, with Kiran allegedly unhappy about Navyashree’s social profession and suspecting her of infidelity.

On the night of the murder, Navyashree had reached out to her childhood friend Aishwarya for support. Aishwarya, who feared for her friend’s safety, stayed overnight. The two women, along with a male friend, had discussed Navyashree’s domestic issues and considered filing a police complaint against Kiran. After dinner and drinks, the two friends went to sleep, unaware of the impending tragedy.

Investigation Underway

Police believe that Kiran, who had a spare key, entered the house early in the morning and committed the crime before fleeing the scene. Aishwarya, upon waking up and realizing what had happened, immediately alerted neighbors and called the police. An investigation is ongoing, and authorities are looking into the circumstances leading up to the murder, including the couple’s history of marital discord.
