Bhole Baba's Neighbours Break Silence: 'No Miracles Seen Here' — Surajpal’s Journey Began 25 Years Ago

From a police officer to a ‘miraculous’ guru, Surajpal Singh who is popularly known as Bhole Baba played a significant role in social welfare. After leaving his job, he started holding satsangs where he listened to the troubles of women who attended. When they expressed a need for money, he organized donations from the devotees attending the satsang to help them. This act of charity increased people's faith in him and his followers grew, including among Muslims.

Neighbour Jagdish Chandra revealed that 25 years ago, Surajpal Singh began holding satsangs at his residence in Kedar Nagar. Initially, local women attended the satsangs. By collecting donations and providing help, he established a presence in every home, which led to followers coming from far-off places as well.

Neighbour Sabir Chaudhary shared that until 30 years ago, Surajpal Singh lived like an ordinary person. Since the year 2000, the holy Baba has not visited here, but followers travel from distant places to seek his blessings. The crowd starts gathering as early as 4 a.m.

The hut remains closed, and followers open it occasionally for cleaning. This situation continues throughout the day. Local residents Gagan and Vicky mentioned that although they have not witnessed any miracles, the crowd here grows larger every Tuesday.

Bhole Baba Performed a Chanting Ritual to Bring His Adopted Daughter Back to Life

Neighbour Sabir Chaudhary says that Bhole Baba had adopted his sister-in-law’s daughter, Snehalata. When she died 24 years ago, Baba kept her body here for two days, performing a chanting ritual to try and revive her.

Devotees chanted slogans and asked baba to revive his daughter. Later, they took the body to malla’s platform for a chanting ritual, and i went there too. A crowd of thousands gathered, and the police had to disperse everyone.

Devotees Also Visit the Abhuapura Ashram

On the Jaipur Highway, the Narayan Sakar Vishw Hari Charitable Trust Ashram is located in Abhuapura. It was purchased last year. Every day, devotees come to the ashram’s gate to pay their respects. In 2019, a satsang by Bhole Baba took place in the village of Nagla Bharangarhpur, Vidhapur in Kirauli for 15 days, drawing a large number of people to listen to the satsang.

121 Devotees Died in the Stampede

In the stampede that occurred in Sikandra Rao, Hathras, 121 devotees lost their lives, including 106 identified as residents of 17 districts in Uttar Pradesh, while six were from different states across the country. Efforts are ongoing to identify the remaining individuals.

The state and central governments will jointly provide compensation to all the victims. The accident resulted in 38 people being injured, but they are out of danger. On Wednesday, CM Yogi personally visited the district hospital in Hathras to check on the injured and spoke with the eyewitnesses.

According to the CM, the accident involved devotees from Uttar Pradesh as well as three other states. Among the deceased, one person from Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh, one from Palwal in Haryana, and three from Faridabad in Haryana have been identified, along with one person from Deeg in Rajasthan.

Among the victims from Uttar Pradesh, the highest number of 22 deceased are from Hathras, followed by 17 from Agra, 15 from Aligarh, 10 from Etah, 8 each from Kasganj and Mathura, 6 from Badaun, 5 each from Shahjahanpur and Bulandshahr, 2 each from Auraiya and Sambhal, and one each from Lalitpur, Firozabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Pilibhit, Lakhimpur Kheri, and Unnao.
