Bihar Shocker: Minor Girl Gang-Raped In Moving Car! Accused, Victim Lived In Same Society

Bihar: In a shocking incident, a teenage girl was gang-raped in a moving car in Saharsa district. According to the police, they received information about the gang rape of a girl on 16 September 2024. The victim had given an application regarding this incident on the basis of which an FIR was lodged in Sadar. The police has taken one accused in custody and medical examination of the victim has been conducted. Ajit Kumar, resident of Kahra village, Saharsa has been arrested by the police while the other accused remains missing.

As per the reports, the girl was sexually assaulted by two person in a moving vehicle. On instructions of Saharsa SP Himansu, an SIT has been formed under Sub-Divisional Police Officer Sadar and raids are being conducted to arrest the accused involved in this incident. The vehicle (Scorpio) used by the accused was also seized by the police. FSL & Dog squad were called to examine the vehicle and CCTV footage of the incident site was also checked.

In their official statement, Saharsa Police said, the accused and the victim both live in same society. It has come to light that an attempt was made to assault the victim by luring her. However, the assault on gunpoint hasn’t been proven yet.

According to the police, the victim initially didn’t disclose the incident to her parents but narrated on the next day.

Police is searching for the second accused and conducting investigation from all the angles. The case has been registered under Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
