Gajendra Pawar, a medical officer at the hospital, informed reporters that in addition to his leg injury, the boy also had a condition called phimosis (tight foreskin). He explained that they needed to perform two surgeries.

Regarding the communication with the parents about the second surgery, he suggested that the doctors might have forgotten to inform them or might have told other relatives of the patient.

Pawar insisted that the doctors acted correctly and there was nothing wrong with their actions. However, the parents refused to accept the explanation given by the doctors.

On the same day, two other patients of the same age group underwent surgery at the hospital, according to the doctors.
