New Delhi: Actor-politician Kangana Ranaut has faced criticism from the BJP leadership following her controversial comments on the farmers’ protest. The BJP clarified that her remarks do not represent the party’s views, issuing a statement today emphasizing that Ranaut is not authorized to speak on policy matters on behalf of the party.

The backlash comes after the 38-year-old MP from Himachal Pradesh’s Mandi constituency suggested that the farmers’ protest could have resulted in a crisis similar to Bangladesh if the government had not taken strong actions. The BJP stated that Ranaut had been directed to refrain from making such statements in the future.

Congress Responds

Past Controversies

Ranaut, known for her provocative remarks, has been a vocal critic of the farmers’ protest.
