In an unexpected announcement, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of Parliament Sushil Kumar Modi revealed on Twitter that he has been battling cancer for the past six months. The seasoned politician expressed that he believed it was appropriate to share his health status with the public at this time.

Sushil Kumar Modi added that he had also shared his health situation with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Additionally, he expressed his gratitude and dedication to the country, Bihar, and the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Due to his condition, he mentioned his inability to actively engage in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Modi has played significant roles in Bihar politics and has served as a member of both houses of parliament, including the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
