Brain-Dead IAS Aspirant's Parents Donate 7 Organs, Saving Lives Across India

The Moyade family from Sangvi, a small village in Kasrawad tehsil of Khargone, donated seven organs from their brain-dead son. After graduating, 24-year-old Vishal Moyade had big dreams. He was preparing for the UPSC exam and wanted to become an IAS.

In 2018, while taking the B.Ed exam at Government Boys Higher Secondary School No. 2 on Khandwa Road in Khargone city, Vishal suddenly got a headache and fainted. He was immediately taken to the district hospital. As his condition worsened, he was moved to Indore and then admitted to Zydus Hospital in Gujarat.

Doctors discovered that a bundle of veins had formed on Vishal's head, and his treatment continued. During his illness, Vishal told his mother, Sushila Mohit, what was on his mind and said, "If my life ends, donate my organs to the poor and needy."

When Vishal's health did not improve, the doctor declared him brain dead. Afterward, his mother, Sushila Bai, shared Vishal's wish with her husband, Ambaram Moyade, who is a government teacher.

Vishal's parents bravely informed the doctor of their IAS Aspirant son's wish. Initially, the doctor in Ahmedabad suggested donating the organs to someone in their family. However, when no recipient was found, the doctor's team began checking the online waiting list.

According to Vishal's parents' wishes, a super corridor was set up in Vadodara. The team of doctors retrieved seven organs from Vishal's body, including his liver, heart, small intestine, both lungs, and both kidneys. The kidneys were sent to Zydus Hospital in Ahmedabad, the lungs to KD Hospital in Ahmedabad, the heart to Reliance Hospital in Mumbai, the small intestine to MGM Hospital in Chennai, and the liver to Kiran Hospital in Surat.

In Vadodara, Vishal's parents, Sushila and Ambaram, performed a ritual to bless their son's organs and asked the doctor to transport them through the super corridor.

Vishal's father, Ambaram, said he wanted to tell the world that everyone should consider donating organs. Since our soul leaves the body, it's a blessing if our organs can help someone in need and give them a new life.
