The Indian government, led by Prime Minister Modi, has approved the Chandrayaan 4 mission. This mission will focus on landing on the Moon, collecting rocks, and bringing them back to Earth. It will cost Rs. 2,104.06 crore (about $253 million).

Building on Chandrayaan-3's Success

Chandrayaan 4 will build on the success of Chandrayaan-3, which landed on the Moon. This new mission will work on tasks like docking in space, returning to Earth, and collecting samples from the Moon.

Future Space Plans

India has big space goals, like building a space station by 2035 and sending astronauts to the Moon by 2040. Chandrayaan-4 will help develop the technology needed for these plans.

ISRO's Role
