Rajasthan: Cabinet Minister of Rajasthan Jhabar Singh Kharra has recently made a controversial statement regarding the population control law. He stated that couples with two or more children will not be eligible for any government benefits. On Sunday, Cabinet Minister Jhabar Singh Kharra visited Pali for a one-day tour. He held a meeting at the district council and then made claims about the population control law. He said, "The population is increasing while resources are decreasing, leading to various problems. Therefore, efforts are being made at the level of the Government of India to ensure that couples or families with more than two or three children will not receive any government benefits. A law related to this will soon be seen in the country."

The Cabinet Minister also spoke about the Rajasthan government's budget. He stated that the budget has been crafted with the state's development in mind. He emphasized that all the announcements made in the budget will be fulfilled under any circumstances. Kharra said that the BJP not only makes announcements but is also committed to fulfilling them at all costs. He mentioned that before coming to power, the party had issued a manifesto, and all departments have been instructed accordingly. After the formation of the double-engine government, the people of the state should trust the government. Every promise made to the people will be fulfilled on time.

He asserted that the impact of the budget announcements will begin to be seen on the ground from August 15. Kharra said that the announcements made in the budget will be implemented in a timely manner. He mentioned that there are instructions to design plans according to the budget. All tasks will be completed on time.

Meanwhile, BJP MLA from Hawa Mahal, Jaipur, Balmukund Acharya, stated that there should be a population control law. He remarked that having four wives and 36 children is no longer acceptable. Balmukund said, "I have been consistently demanding for many years that there should be one law for the entire country. When we used to visit Kashmir, we were asked if we were from India, which was painful. Now, after the abrogation of Article 370, the same laws apply throughout the country, including Kashmir." Balmukund emphasized, "The increasing population is a major issue, and the demographic balance is being disrupted. There is a community that maintains four wives and 36 children. Even in the legislative assembly, there are people with 3-4 wives. One community follows the rule of one wife and at most two children, while the other is engaged in having four wives and 36 children. This is wrong. There should be a uniform law for everyone."
