Daylight Murder: Patient Shot Dead At Delhi's GTB Hospital

Today (July 14), a patient was fatally shot at GTB Hospital in Delhi. Around 4:00 pm, an 18-year-old boy entered ward number 24 of GTB Hospital and shot the patient. The accused fled the scene immediately after the shooting.

Delhi Police have identified the deceased as Riyazuddin (32 years old), a resident of Khajuri in Delhi. Riyazuddin was admitted to GTB Hospital on June 23 for a stomach infection.

Police at GTB Enclave station received a PCR call reporting gunfire in ward number 24. Upon arrival at the scene, they discovered that an 18-year-old boy had entered the ward and shot Riyazuddin, son of Late Islamuddin, a resident of A-786, A Block, Gali number 14, Sriram Nagar, Khajuri. Riyazuddin had been admitted to the hospital on June 23 for treatment of an abdominal infection.

Police evacuated the ward where the shooting occurred and took custody of the body for post-mortem. Upon receiving this information, the patient's relatives rushed to the hospital. Police are questioning family members to determine if the deceased had any disputes. However, the whereabouts of the suspect are still unknown.
