Delhi Anticipates Relief From Heatwave As Active Monsoon Approaches

The monsoon season in India is expected to get stronger as both eastern and western winds become faster and more powerful. Rainfall has already begun in Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha, indicating the beginning of an active monsoon period.

Delhi and nearby areas might get a break from the ongoing heat due to a current western disturbance in the next 24-48 hours. This event is expected to change the wind pattern, leading to pre-monsoon activities within the next week.

The monsoon season in India is set to intensify as the eastern and western winds gain speed and strength. Rain has already started in Madhya Pradesh and Vidarbha, signaling the start of an active monsoon phase.

In the next few days, the Bay of Bengal Monsoon is expected to strengthen again after a brief slowdown. This renewed activity is likely to bring pre-monsoon conditions to West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, and Eastern Uttar Pradesh soon, preparing for substantial rainfall.

Beginning on June 20, a more forceful surge is anticipated to spread monsoon clouds over large parts of the northern plains over the next 7 to 10 days. This timeframe will be crucial for the northern regions eagerly awaiting the essential monsoon rains.

At the same time, the Arabian Sea monsoon is projected to strengthen in the upcoming week. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts significant rainfall in Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra, and Gujarat.

These states will receive important rainfall, crucial for agriculture and water resources.
