Delhi Weather: Delhiites Gets Respite As Min Temp Plunges To 16°C
Delhi: As the national capital received light to moderate rainfall on intervening night of Monday, the minimum temperature of Delhi settled at 16 degree Celsius, as per the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD). However, no fog has been reported.

As of 0530 hrs IST on February 5th, the recorded temperatures for Delhi exhibit a 24-hour tendency, offering insights into the temperature changes over the specified period. In Safdarjung, the current temperature stands at 16.0°C, reflecting an increase of 2.0°C over the past 24 hours, IMD said.
Similarly, in Palam, the current temperature is 15.8°C, with a 24-hour tendency indicating a rise of 1.8°C. These updates provide a snapshot of the recent climatic conditions in Delhi, illustrating notable temperature fluctuations in both Safdarjung and Palam regions over the observed 24-hour period, weather man stated.

The latest available data indicates a notable absence of moderate to dense fog conditions across various parts of the country. However, a solitary exception is observed in Amritsar, where moderate fog, with visibility reduced to 200 meters, was reported at 2330 hrs IST on February 4, 2024. This update provides a comprehensive overview of the current atmospheric conditions, emphasizing the overall clarity in most regions, with only a localized occurrence of moderate fog in Amritsar.
Delhi - Visibility Across Punjab and West Rajasthan
As of 0530 hrs IST on February 5, the available data indicates a predominant absence of major dense fog conditions across the country, with the exception of specific regions. Notably, dense to very dense fog has been reported over Punjab and West Rajasthan during this time frame.
In Punjab, Amritsar experienced very dense fog, with visibility reduced to 0 meters from 00 hrs IST to 0500 hrs IST today. Subsequently, there has been a slight improvement, with Amritsar currently reporting 100 meters of visibility at 0530 hrs IST.
Similarly, in West Rajasthan, both Ganganagar and Jaisalmer reported reduced visibilities. Ganganagar recorded a visibility of 25 meters, while Jaisalmer reported 200 meters during the same period.
