Devastating Rains Hit Maharashtra: IMD Warns Of More Downpours Across The Country | WATCH

Mumbai experienced heavy rainfall, leading to waterlogging in many areas but providing relief from the intense heat with a significant temperature drop. Thane, Nashik, Ahmednagar, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Satara, and Jalgaon are expected to face heavy rain in the next 24 hours.

Heavy rain batters Maharashtra after Kerala and Goa, causing road closures and flooding. The IMD has issued a red alert. The weather pattern now brings rains to Maharashtra after soaking Kerala and Goa.

The red alert issued by the Meteorological Department for heavy rains turned out to be true. Mumbai was hammered by heavy rainfall, causing waterlogging in many areas. Thankfully, the rain brought a much-needed respite from the scorching heat, with temperatures dropping significantly. Several districts, including Thane, Nashik, Ahmednagar, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Satara, and Jalgaon, brace themselves for heavy rainfall in the next 24 hours.

Satellite images recently showed that South Gujarat and South Madhya Pradesh will experience strong winds and lightning. Expect light to moderate rain with thundershowers. Rainfall is likely in Dhar, Jhabua, Chhindwara, and Pandhurna in Madhya Pradesh, as well as Raipur in Chhattisgarh.

Expect rainfall in northern interior Karnataka, southern Odisha, Tripura, western Telangana, and Rayalaseema within the next few hours. Assam and Meghalaya will continue to experience rain until June 13. Heavy to very heavy rainfall is forecasted for West Bengal and Sikkim until June 12, and for Arunachal Pradesh until June 13. Konkan and Goa will receive heavy rainfall today.

The southwest monsoon has moved closer to the central-north Arabian Sea and certain parts of Maharashtra, including Mumbai. It will now progress through the northern borders of Thane, Ahmednagar, Beed, Nizamabad, Sukma, Malkangiri, Vijayanagaram, and Islampur.
