The police reported that a minor girl, who was allegedly raped by her school principal, attempted suicide by jumping in front of a train on Saturday. The incident occurred in Uttar Pradesh's Kaushambi district.

Following the tragedy, the district hospital admitted her in a serious condition.

Devendra Kumar Mishra, the principal of the school, is accused of sexually abusing a young student in her residence. On June 6, 2024, a video of the incident went viral on social media, depicting the administrator misbehaving toward the student.

The teenager is thought to have attempted suicide when an explicit video of the principal of the school appeared on social media and was viewed as offensive.

Meanwhile, ADG Bhanu Bhaskar and IG Prem Kumar Gautam visited the district hospital and spoke with the minor and her family after learning that the rape survivor had made an attempt at suicide.
